Expectations

“The glory of this present life is but a shadow of things to come.” – Unknown

Expectations were never meant to be fully met in this life. Set them. Chase them. Even work to exceed them. But understand this: Lasting fulfillment on this side of the dirt isn’t part of the design.

You will have moments—brief flashes of victory, of success, of soul-deep satisfaction. When those moments come, don’t dismiss them. Let them fill you. Acknowledge them. But don’t try to hold them too tightly. They are reminders, not destinations. Signals that there’s something even greater ahead, something eternal, something beyond.

This life is the journey, not the reward. So keep climbing. Celebrate when you can. And always stay hungry for more than this world can offer.
