Lights Out
Out of time.
The work is done — all of it, the good reps and the missed ones. And now, in the last seconds, your mind does the cruelest thing it knows. It shows you the gaps. The preparation you can suddenly see straight through, every shortfall lit up, right when you can no longer fix a single one.
Let it go. Nobody cares.
It’s too late for them to matter. The prep is sealed. You cannot add one rep standing in the blocks, and a man auditing work he can no longer change is drowning himself one second before he has to swim.
So drop it. All of it. Whatever you brought is what you have, and it is time to spend it.
The gun sounds.
The green flag drops.
Lights out.
Go.
