Stewardship of Life's Loaned Treasures

What truly belongs to you in this life? Your possessions, your loved ones, your very body—all are on temporary loan. Your sole possession, enduring beyond time's grasp, is your mind. Cherish and care for all that is entrusted to you as a steward tends to his charge, recalling the wisdom from your dad who taught you to return what you've been loaned in better condition than when you received it.

Though all things must inevitably decay, your attentive care ensures they endure gracefully, reflecting your reverence for their temporary presence. He who has entrusted you with these temporary things sees this and observes your care for them.

When the time comes for these borrowed treasures to be reclaimed, remember you have not truly lost them. Their owner, who entrusted them to you for a season, determines their fate and purpose.  Only the owner knows the full story and the greater purpose behind each loan, so have faith and trust what unfolds.
