The Broadcast

Look at what keeps finding you.

Not once. The pattern.

Most men never sit with this, because the answer points in a direction they do not want to look. Back at themselves.

What do you attract? And why does it keep finding its way to you, specifically?

That is not bad luck. Luck does not repeat with that kind of loyalty. If the same thing keeps arriving at your door, something about you sent out the address.

You are broadcasting. Everyone is. Your standards. The things you tolerate. The behavior you let slide. The door you keep telling yourself is closed but leave unlocked. All of it goes out as a signal — and the world answers the signal you actually send, not the one you think you send.

So sit in it. The recurring problem in your life is not a report about the world. It is a report about you. The users found the man who cannot say no. The chaos found the man who never demanded order from himself. Nothing sought you out that you were not, in some quiet way, still calling.

That is not comfortable. It is not supposed to be. Comfort was never going to fix this.

But it is the only version of the story where you have any power. If you sent the signal, you can change the signal.

Raise the standard, and watch who disappears. Close the door, lock it, and hear how quiet it gets.

If nothing changes until you do — what have you still not been willing to change?
