The Tell

The man who actually wants it is not talking to you about it.

That is the tell.

Real desire does not need a witness. It gets up early and it goes. Whether anyone knows is beside the point, because the thing itself is the point.

Performed desire cannot survive without a room. It needs the announcement, the conversation, the nods. It is not fuel. It is a show.

So run the check. When you talk about the thing you want — who is that for?

If it is for you, fine. Say it once, then go to work.

But notice how you feel after. If you walk away lighter, a little satisfied, like something got handled — nothing got handled. You spent the wanting instead of investing it. That hit was the payoff, and a man who takes the payoff up front never has to earn the real one.

That is why talking about it feels good and the work does not. Talking pays immediately.

So ask the only question that settles it. Not what you plan to trade. What is already gone from your life because you wanted this?

If the answer is nothing, you do not want it. You like the idea of being a man who does.

Wanting was never supposed to feel good.

Stop announcing. Go get it.
