Cut the Tether

Some will follow. Many will not.

That is not a problem to solve. It is a filter working exactly as it should.

Cast the vision clearly. Show the path. Then stop talking and let every person decide for themself — in or out. Make the choice clean, and make it theirs. Do not cater to the ones who slow the pack. Do not drag a person toward a thing he has already decided not to want.

The ones who waffle — and the quiet doubters who never say it to your face — are not neutral. They are boulders tethered to your ankles. They do not merely fail to move. They pull. And a man roped to enough dead weight does not just slow down.

He goes under.

So cut the tether. Not in anger. In clarity.

Because the ones who stay are not weight. They are the ones who lift you when the climb turns vertical, who carry you when the trial demands more than you alone can shoulder.

And that day comes. You will not always be the strong one on the rope.

Choose now, while you can still see clearly, who you want tied to you when it is your turn to be carried.
