The Recipe
When you substitute ingredients, do not expect the same result.
Men want the body without the work. The marriage without the discipline. The respect without the standard. The peace without the practice.
It does not work that way. It has never worked that way.
You cannot swap effort for shortcuts and call it the same outcome. You cannot trade discipline for convenience and expect the same man to walk out the other side.
The recipe is the recipe.
Sleep. Train. Read. Show up. Tell the truth. Do hard things on purpose. Repeat for years.
Skip an ingredient and you get a different dish. Skip several and you get something you did not want and cannot recognize.
Look at your life. The result you have is the result of what you put in. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Change the recipe. Or stop complaining about the meal.
“You will never always be motivated. You have to learn to be disciplined.” — David Goggins
